Scholarship Foundations give money to help people complete their education and reach their dreams. Therefore it makes sense that Scholarship Foundations love giving to those who give to others. Community service and volunteerism is the key to winning scholarships.
Be sure to document your community service:
What organization did you volunteer with?
What was your role in the activity?
How did the service impact others?
Also, keep the contact information of the people in charge of the community service project (you may want to ask for a recommendation letter in the future).
